One of the nice things about Whitworth is that it only has one main road - Market Street - and this runs right the way through the entire valley, from Healey Corner at the Rochdale end (south), to the Bacup boundary at Brittania (north), and the Whitworth Museum is just a short way from the main road, at roughly the central point of the valley. If you are travelling by public transport there is a regular bus service through the valley, with stops just a very short walk from the museum. This service is the 464 and a timetable showing full details can be found at the Rossendale Transport website: - click here for a timetable:
